I have been dreaming of an MK since the begining of the series, but will they work on a sheet metal glider like the 2-32? *I don't know if I'm a good enought pilot for a yaw string like that, aren't they hard to handle?... Maybe I should write santa a letter? Boggs Gary, Your concerns are well founded. In some cases MKIVs can be hard to handle and are clearly not for everyone. On some gliders, the dramatic drag reduction gained by the sleek MKIV can cause a pitch-up moment exceeding elevator nose-down ability. Refutable, but otherwise unreliable sources, report instances of Schweitzer glider pilots, intending only a training circuit, being forced to stay up for hours in marginal lift. Scary stuff. You've been warned. bumper QV and MKIV Minden |
