Dave. Oh yes sorry, unfortunately the qualifications to say anything get
too hard. I'd already addressed that recently in this thread or the
other ones running here. PowerFLARM PCAS support is currently that it
displays Mode-S transponders but does not alert/alarm on them and does
not show Mode-C transponders (which clearly we need in the USA). All
that is coming.

The challenge here is not just detecting Mode-C but the detection of the
local transponders (that Urs mentioned recently) and threat
deduplication etc. that gets really hard to do without a unique ICAO ID
from the transponder. I'm really impressed that currently available PCAS
systems work as well as they do with Mode-C transponders. And I'm happy
for FLARM to work on that implementation and get us the updates, I
certainly would not want to see PowerFLARM held up waiting for this
feature, however important it is. Remember Mode-C is not important in
Europe so this is something they are doing that is more unique to the
USA market.

I'm just hanging onto my Zaon MRX until that happens. And since I think
you also already own an MRX you can do the same right?
