A test rig on a pick-up's reciever hitch could slam a patch of it down on a concrete runway to simulate a gear-up. Anybody interested? I've been using 3/4 thick UHMW PE on my tractor mounted snow blower for the last couple of years on concrete, asphalt and pavers. Very little decrease in thickness. Loading is at least 15 psi. And, they don't mark up the surface. Material can be heat formed. I'm using countersunk bolts to mount the material. |
