How about henderson (HND), its below the LAS class B and you wont have to hassle
with the LAS controllers. HND now has 2 runways, a 6000 ft and a 5000 ft, its
about 7 miles south of LAS (flying), driving, its just off south las vegas blvd.

I live near Henderson, but base my plane out of VGT . Hendrson is much easier to
get in and out of if your coming from california or arizona. here is some info
on HND

I've been asked to pick up my grandson's friend in Las Vegas at LAS on
Dec. 26. I'll be motoring down in a C-172SP, strictly VFR. I haven't landed
at LAS since long before they built a terminal -- back when the Hacienda
would send a limo over to pick me up for lunch and take me back to the
plane.
Any suggestions on convenient plaace to meet? Landing Fees? Other
points to consider? I'd rather make the pickup at VGT (North Las Vegas), but
that seems to be nixed.
If it gets too hard, I'll scrub in a New York minute.
