There are still a few reservations available in Utah and Idaho, too.

Hey Jer/,

With all of the snow this winter, this year should prove to be a lot less
smokey.

Of course, we don't venture into the backcountry until it melts
out on the airports, so that we do no damage... kind of like
being a doctor... "first, do no damange".

I got smoked out of Central ID last year in July and August.

Yes, that happens. A few years ago there was a TFR and temporary
tower at Big Creek. I was going there, and complied with the TFR
requirements. When I got there, I saw that "Big Creek Tower" was
a lady at a picnic table with a large yellow umbrella to keep her
dry. It was way cool!

This year I've got six weeks off in Jul/Aug, so maybe I'll see you up
there.

John, we'd love to have you! Ground school every afternoon, flying
in two sessions in the morning. This is a little expensive, but I
have not found better information, instruction or place to fly. :-)

I am teaching based out McCall:
Jul 8 2008 -11 Tue-Fri MMCFS Basic Course

I usually go a few days early and go camping at Moose Creek or Cabin
Creek. You are welcome to meet me at McCall and fly in with me in
my C206.

Best regards,

Jer/ "Flight instruction and mountain flying are my vocations!"
