DG1000 Tail Battery
We had a damaged/worn-out tail battery in our club DG1000S.
We ordered a replacement from DG at a very high cost. After that I disassembled the original. It consisted simply of 4 Panasonic LC-R067 R2P (6Volt, 7.2 Ah) batteries. 150mm x 94 mm x 34mm each. Switched 2 serial x 2 parallel for a total of 12V, 14.4 Ah. All of it is simply double-sided taped to eachother and to a flat aluminum strip ending in the bracket with fuse, connector and grip on top. Then heat shrink wrapped. Would have been very easy to replace yourself with some very basic handyman experience at a cost of about US$75. Hans Van Weersch |
