Plastic is a bit old hat. *I'd expect Jesus to be digitized and to
appear on screen as a pop-up at appropriate times - such as below a
user defined altitude or on a marginal final glide - and I'd expect to
have a choice of prophets and deities for pilots of other faiths - or
for those (like me) who can go through a variety of short term
religious conversions in the course of a single flight.

All you have to do is rub the head of your JPS.

The Voodoo version ships with a rubber chicken which you can choke
when low..

A few questions:
1) Does the JPS work really for finding the way back home?
2) Does it multiplicate the thermals?
3) Does it transform the water ballast into wine ballast ? (this is very
important)
4) Is it certified by the Vatican City Aviation?
5) Is it possible to connect it to a Cambridge?

First of all Paolo your work on the LK8000 is fantastic.

I think what you have created especially with the latest release is
absolutely amazing.
Cant wait to see the full release version out.

Now in answer to your questions, the JPS unit only works if you trust
in its plastic'ness.
If you do not feel the force from the JPS then it is not going to give
proper direction.

The JPS has not been known to affect thermal size or density but if
you do find yourself low I found it always helped to rub its head.

The water to wine upgrade has not been installed mine as its
experimental and does not carry the Vatican VSO.

I have used it with Cambridge S-Nav quite extensively and you can see
it here pre-take off..

Note it blocks out the S-Nav completely.

The JPS is still the original one given to me by an ex-stripper who
used to work for me after she found religion.
To this day I always carry him in my camelback when flying.

If you can add FLARM or ADS-B and integrate that with a JPS that
speaks up and informs you of the traffic I'll get 2 of them!

Would the Goddard cable that powers the iPAQ310 also be able to power
the Faux Oudie?

The LK8000 software has FLARM integration you can see their test setup
on Paolo's website.
It is detailed in the manual link I posted earlier in this thread.

As far as cabling goes, it's basically a serial to USB converter with
power.
Cumulus has them "shipping may 15th" I believe or there are a number
of raw cables that could be modified easily.
I can assemble a package of cable, computer and test NMEA into the
device shipping it as a package for you ready to go.
