Just to reiterate, as JS mentioned, the Uerling Sleeves only work on "straight" L'Hotellier fittings. They don't work on 90 degree fittings which my glider has for the ailerons.
I used Uerling Sleeves on the airbrake straight fittings because these were a BITCH to get the original safety pins in while trying to look inside a black hole on a white ship in bright sunlight. The ailerons were much easier and I continued to use the pins until I went Wedekind. Also, I was told way back when that the Uerling Sleeves needed to be replaced every 2 years. Anyone know about that? - John http://aviation.derosaweb.net/wedekind |
