Hell - I knew a guy who'd 'swear' that if his F-4 was ever
launched from Victor Alert in Germany, he'd be the 'Emporer
of Pyrenees' within a few hours:

I had an aircraft commander who said, post-strike, we were heading to the South
Pacific where he would ditch the BUFF on a beach and we'd open a hot dog
