Regarding the LeMonns start...early 1-26 Regattas and Championships usually featured a rigging contest, especially the ones held at Harris Hill. Trailers were positioned on one side of the runway and crews on the other. I don't know if there was a limit on # of people but I'm pretty sure that 3 or 4 was common. I remember reading that the Soaring Dutchmen were well known as being the team to beat, rigging a 1-26 to flyable condition in less than 5 minutes. Pretty sure they trailered with the tail on which is kinda cheating.

Record for assembly was by the Dutchmen in just over 2 1/2 minutes and they did put the tail on.

Not too shabby for three bolts and two control connections per wing! (assuming this is pre-D model 1-26) And, what, three bolts and the pushrod for the tail?

wow 2.5 minutes is impressive. Thats NASCAR pit crew style analysis on getting the job done.

Speaking of NASCAR will the LeMonns rules give the CD the option to call a NASCAR day where if post flight analysis of your trace shows any complete 360 to the right you get a 1000 point penalty?

oh another twist on the Endurance task. if you have a class in the endurance task that flies with water ballast, a calibrated leak must be installed in the system so that after about 1.5 laps you'll be out of water. then the decision must be made whether to pit for more water or try to win the race on "old tires"

Hitler will not be approved by the RC as a CD, so there will be no penalties for turning left. Or right.

No leaks will be induced in any ballast systems in a LeMonns glider. If it was that low cost to start with, there probably are already leaks in any ballast system that might be installed.
