I think the latest quick time player did the same to me.

On page http://www.alexisparkinn.com/aviation_videos.htm the link under

"Sound Files" "The Mighty Cherokee" shows "The requested
URL /photogallery/Videos/sn00632a.wav was not found on this server."

Thanks -- I just noticed that myself. I'll have to fix that tomorrow.

On another (somewhat related) subject, I've just spent the last hour

trying
to configure my home computer to play my own danged video/audio files
correctly.

I finally got so frustrated that I have completely removed "RealPlayer"

from
my system. That damned program had interwoven itself so thoroughly into

my
Windows XP OS that I was simply unable to change the default player to
Windows Media Player, no matter what setting I changed!

It would *say* it was set to WMP, and show the correct icon -- but it

would
continually try to open the files with RealPlayer. And when the file

failed
to play, it would lock up I.E.

What a pain in the butt. Now the files play, but some are opening
"windowed" (the way I'd like), while others of the same file type are
opening inside I.E., which I don't want. This, of course, makes no sense
to me, since the file names and type associations are the same, and I can
find no setting that would change the way it plays to something different
with SOME "mpegs" but not others....

*sigh* Computers can drive you NUTS. ;-)

There is also an alternative out for real player but not sure the url
(thanks screen savers)

This one is for quick time

http://www.ntcompatible.com/story23516.html

"QuickTime Alternative 1.22 will allow you to play QuickTime files (.mov,
..qt and other extensions) without having to install the official QuickTime
Player. As a bonus, Internet Explorer will play all QuickTime movies that
are embedded in a webpage. You do need a media player that is capable of
playing QuickTime files. The included Media Player Classic supports it and
works very well. The QuickTime Browser plugin supports Internet Explorer,
Opera, Netscape and Mozilla. The QuickTime plugins include iPIX and
QuickTimeVR".
