Jim,
I've used Plexus, Mequiars 18 (better), Plexo (like Plexus but 1/2 the price) and more recently I've been using Meguiars 205 polish. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...h_ detailpage Plexo worked as well as Plexus for me. http://www.amazon.com/Castle-Plexo-A...keywords=plexo I always clean the canopy with water from a 1qt pump garden sprayer and dry it, then move on to one of the cleaner polishes to get it finalized and eliminate static. The costco microfibers work great, but sometimes with just water you can build up a charge strong enough to stun a small goat. And with the Avenal dust, it just glues to the canopy on takeoff like powder coating. Had heard "Plexus" was highly thought of, but it left streaks. None of the aerosol cleaners seemed very useful in the wind. Meguiars "Mirror Glaze 18" worked well. Any experience with "Novus 1"? Used their 2 and 3 for scratch removal. Jim |

Thanks, all.
Still haven't tried the LP Acrylic Polish & Sealant, which is a cream. Any comments on that one? The Novus does work well, found that all the aerosol spray stuff either blew away or dried up in the desert heat and required buffing to get rid of streaks. Two new 32oz bottles of Brillianize arrived today. For me, that stuff works the best both to polish and keep static down. Learned about it from a stage manager who had a lot of lighting fixtures and plexiglass music stands to keep clean. The anti-static qualities are what convinced him. As 6PK noted, a spray bottle of distilled water works pretty well. Seems easier than Plexus, Miragard, Prist, etc. And I suppose the price is more glider pilot friendly. But not anti-static. ....Free to a good home: 1/2 can Plexus, 1 3/4 cans Sumner 210, 1/2 can Miragard. Jim |

As I answered in an earlier post I use and really like LP acrylic polish (I believe it used to be called LP Aeroplastic polish) anyway same stuff leaves no residue other than some white particles if not wiped off well enough, fills in minor scratches and lasts half a season with just one application (water only in between uses
