Actually, BMW started out making aircraft engines (hence their logo is a stylized propeller), but they never made complete aircraft. http://www.airventure.org/2005/monjuly25/dornier.html Dornier Amphibian (Do-24ATT) was at OSH this year: ".. and derives its power from three Pratt & Whitney PTA-45B turboprops, which replaced the older original BMW radials." Dornier Do-24ATT http://makeashorterlink.com/?M5C6217EB (Same link as below ...wait for it) http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?aircraftsearch=Dornier%20Do-24ATT%20Amphibian&distinct_entry=true Montblack |

![]() "Flyingmonk" wrote in message ups.com... "We've always had wings (focusing on the wing logo on a Honda motorcycle). Now we're flying." I like that... Now, Mitsubishi made the Zeroes, I'm wondering why they're not making aircrafts before Honda. BMW also made aircrafts, why are they not getting into it again? I know that people have put their motorcycle engines on homebuilts, but BMW are not supporting it. I hope they get back into avaition again (Mitsubishi and BMW) more sompetition will lower prices and add more selections for all of us. Bryan "The Monk" Chaisone Mitsubishi makes helicopters and a lot of major parts for Boeing, Bombardier and possibly others. Mike MU-2 |

Sorry I forgot about your MU-2 Mike. I don't know how that happened.
Mitsubishi makes helicopters and a lot of major parts for Boeing, Bombardier and possibly others. I have heard of Kawasaki teaming with Hughes/MD years ago, but not Mitsubishi. Thanks for that info. Bryan |

Besides the MU-2, Mits made the Diamond jet, which later became the Beechjet
aka "Mitsubeechi". Now, Mitsubishi made the Zeroes, I'm wondering why they're not making aircrafts before Honda. BMW also made aircrafts, why are they not getting into it again?
