Ours is a government of the PEOPLE, by the People, and for the PEOPLE, and corporations are not PEOPLE; expose their greedy exploits at every opportunity, or resign yourself to enslavement through inaction. The airlines want to control U.S. ATC. They also want everyone else to pay for it. Having said that, privatization of ATC and users fees are really different issues. |

All I have to say about user fees is that if they are implemented and I am going to be nickeled and dimed to death by a bureaucratic nightmare that adds overhead and significantly more per hour cost to an already expensive per hour rate for flying time, I am going to hang up my wings... Just imagine what the per pilot cost of the FAA will be when about 200,000 pilots are driven out of the system by user fees. Nah! You will pay up just like a junkie whose favourite fix has gone up in price. You might fly a bit less but it will be your hourly cost that will change as you do less hours. |

Maybe Hillary will use some of the Exxon profits that she wants to use for alternative energy (since it is her money obviously) and help out us lowly GA pilots. Ah ha - the GA pilots are looking for welfare - socialism OK in this instance then. |

I haven't read the current proposal, but initially the Reason Foundation's Norm Poole said that GA would be exempt from user fees. Don't be fooled by the old "divide and conquer" strategy. |

If they consider 'ATC contact' to be 'use', then it won't cost me any more. How about a weather briefing at $ 1.50 a minute? How about a $300 charge to renew your medical? -- Dallas |
