I'm thinking "photoshopped," as in "How is the front yoke attached to the rest of the machine" and "Why does the rear edge of the left shaft look so uneven where it meets the engine?" not to mention "What does that engine do for cooling?" and "Will the tank run dry before engine heat causes the fuel to boil?" and "Maybe it's my eyesight, but why don't I see a wiring harness?" --Bill Thompson Afrain it ain't so... http://thekneeslider.com/archives/20...-motorcycle-2/ Appears to be the bike in early construction phase. Notice no handle bar or belt/chain cover yet.. JT |

Notice no handle bar or belt/chain cover yet.. I see what you mean, although it just doesn't look like something that should be allowed to exist. (I know, I know, the original M4 Sherman designed called for a radial engine as power plant, but at least they had the decency to keep the engine out of sight!) It may not be overpowered; the link to Rotec rates their engine at 110 horsepower, and I think the Harley Hog has around that much power. I suppose they could attach some extra oil coolers to beat the heating problem, and put the fuel tank somewhere away from the engine. But Rotec rates their engine's fuel consumption at 22 liters/hour at 80% power, which doesn't suggest great mileage. I'm guessing it's a show machine. --Bill Thompson |

![]() "Grumpy AuContraire" wrote in message ... Heh... Here's another example that looks like, well, er... A difficult ride! But a short one I suspect. Both inlet and exhaust on side of the engine facing away from airflow. No finning or cowling to pass air over the cooling fins (do the heads even have any?) Give it a mile or so at the most before it auto returns to kit form. -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |
