Here is a link to the Obama/Marx story (and it is pretty damning): http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/2289 Several points: (0) Nothing about this is aviation related. (1) The article was originally published by an organization called AIM: http://www.aim.org/aim-column/obamas-communist-mentor/ (2) The article claims that "The record shows that Obama was in Hawaii from 1971-1979, where, at some point in time, he developed a close relationship, almost like a son, with Davis, listening to his "poetry"...." But Obama was born in 1961 in Hawaii. He was in fifth grade in 1971 and graduated high school in 1979. He was living with his maternal grandparents at the time. (3) The article says more about things that happened _prior_ to Obama's birth than about Obama's actual _positions_ (e.g. events in 1939(!), 1951(!), the fifties, etc.) Obama's actual legislative impact as a senator is openly available and it seems to be only moderately left of the middle (e.g. Obama supported legislation which would provide incentives for creation of coal-to-liquid fuel plants to help reduce dependence on foreign oil[1]; on the other hand has called for universal health care[2]). (4) The author of the article, Cliff Kincaid, is alleged to have made false claims in the past, as claimed he http://mediamatters.org/items/200512100001 [1] http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...010901503.html Obama spokesman: "Illinois basin coal has more untapped energy potential than the oil reserves of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait combined. Senator Obama believes it is crucial that we invest in technologies to use these resources to reduce our dependence on foreign oil." [2] http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/p...ealthcare.html |

Even "Communist" China is more capitalist today than Obama, Hillary, and the DNC. Well, that just isn't true in so many ways it's ridiculous. I'm not a fan of either Hilary or Obama, but they,re defintiely capitalists in every sense of the word. And the second part of that statement is complete crap as well. There are many many very socailist, and very wealthy socialist countries, BTW whose policies even the most liberal democrat would steer well to the right of. This country has forgotten what 'conservative' means. I agree.Your post proves that perfectly. Dubya is a liberal wimp. Except in comparison to the thinly disguised socialists of the Dimocraptic party. Yeah, god forbid the elderly, the sick and the weak shold be looked after. Nothing personal, BTW. Bertie |

I have no intention of voting for Obama - but not because I believe he is a Marxist, which he does not appear to be by my understanding of the definition of that term. I will be voting Libertarian. (I'm guessing if Obama were elected his policies would be similar to those of the Clinton administration.) The message from the messenger you quoted didn't prove a thing re Obama being a Marxist. Sorry. |
