Trenton is the home base for the Hornet Hookers They are the boys that
take care of the MAGS and they are deployed a lot. Jacques wrote: Thank you all. How about that! I never thought that an arrestor cable was part of "safety systems" at a Canadian air Base, especially where the CF-18 are located . . . Never saw one at CFB Trenton though . . . Jacques "Jacques" wrote in message ... How come? How come a tail hook on an aircraft that has never seen a carrier? Is Canada holding out here? does it have a super-secret carrier that no one knows about? Please help! Hornets in Trenton?
My, my! I have been out of touch . . . In my day, there were only heavy transport Sqadrons (436, 437, 429 Trg Sqn and an assortment of others), an AMU (or today, they are calling it 2nd AMS) unit, of which I used to belong to . . . There was also an engine repair Squadron located at the North end of the Base (they made a lot of noise during run ups, especially with F104 engines and the like). Oh well . . . Again, my thanks to you all "Maple1" wrote in message ... Trenton is the home base for the Hornet Hookers They are the boys that take care of the MAGS and they are deployed a lot. During the overhaul of the star fighters at NWI, Edmonton. DND installed an
arrestor cable system at the international airport. Thats were the star fighters were trucked to for wing install and test flights. We would string the cable, and the remove it after the A/C had landed. -- John Crawford Lead Me Not Into Temptation I Can Find It Myself Thank You |
