Just got one of these Apple gizmos and I'm curious what apps other glider guiders are using. *So far I've found some nice non-aviation weather and mapping apps, so now I'm looking for a good NOTAM and aviation wx brief app. How about SPOT, XCskies, DrJack? Kirk 66 Hi I have recently released a new simple App called NOTAMs. Simply enter an origin, destination and alternate and you will be given NOTAMs for the each of these fields, fields en-route and and the FIR's. What's more, if a NOTAM text cotains a coordinate, it is plotted on a map along with the route. Usefull since I hate looking up all those little places I have never heard about. It is designed for use use in light aviation but I suppose it can be used by glider pilots. ( I know.. I have been flying gliders for over 20 years now!) Roeland |
