Some people around here think his questions are well thought out attempts
at understanding aviation, and show much understanding of aviation, and
thusly should not be discouraged from participating in this group.

I don't know who is dumber. Him, or the ones that still don't realize
that he is a plain and simple troll, with some real mental shortcomings.

You can say that again! I just hope he is indeed gone.

However, I think he might still be here. He might have just changed his name
and MO. If so, time will tell.

Maybe, but..... whatever..

What is clear is that well thought out answers to his often well
thought out questions provide usefull information for some of us...

I am one of them, I have learned some good stuff..

Troll? Maybe.. who cares? ..

By far the most "noise" comes from his detractors..

YMMV

If you have questions, by all means ask them Dave.

Heaven forbid we all get swamped with honest questions from sincere
participants. That's what this group needs the most.

You certainly don't need to wait for some troll to ask them for you.

Agreed, and I never did wait to ask anything here... and I have
been able to answer a few as well...

But MX has asked some really interesting questions that I would
have not..

Like about large jets and intricate procedures.

Not applicable to my little plane, but I am interested anyway.

And when , amongst the noise, some knowledgeable pilot answers , I
learn something new..

Cheers!

Dave

Some knowledgeable pilot will answer when you ask them as well, you
know.
MXSmanic didnīt actually ask sensible questions. and sensible or
informitive answers were the last thing he wanted. He was not a troll,
either, or if he was he was crap at it.

I have to disagree, on the subject if he was a troll, or not. Far different
than the average troll, but a troll, none the less.

His participation in other groups points in that direction. In all groups
he has accosted, he infuriates people, and argues to no end, without logic.
In each group, he learned enough to ask questions, and then turn the
responses against those who were participating in the dialogue.

He learned enough about piloting to pick up on some of the terminology, but
does not listen to, accept the advise and knowledge, and learn from the
experiences of others with much to offer.

If he was participating to learn, there was much he could have learned by a
simple search or two. He did none of that. He took what was told him, and
twisted it to suit his own agenda. He constantly insulted everything that
those who love flying hold dear to their hearts. THAT was his only goal; to
**** people off, and create disscent. Isn't that the definition of a troll?

I will shed no tears for his departure. I only hope that it does not take
too many months to heal the damage done to this group, and that the word
gets out to those who stopped participating because of his presence, that
they can now return.

Well, I can't argue with any of that except your conclusion that he
was a troll. Troll implies intent. I think he was simply an irritating
fjukkwit.
Not irritating to me, I hasten to add....
The effect may have been the same, of course, but as a bit of a troll
myself. (and I'm being unduly modest here) I find myself more than a
bit uncofortable to be lumped in with an idiot like that..
