I understand that this kind of response is standard r.a.p etiquette, the
good old spirit of mutual respect, how could I forget, but please don't get off your Paxil just yet, as then I only posted a photo and only now I got permission to post the video. And now, thanks to Yury's generosity, you can view it (and save a copy for yourself) he http://alexisparkinn.com/general_aviation_videos.htm (Look under the title "Highway Buzz Job"...) -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |

![]() Matt Barrow wrote: "Kingfish" wrote in message oups.com... Just got the email about the East River (NYC) TFR. We all knew it was coming, right? As tragic as the loss of two lives was, unfortunately every time something like this happens we all look like idiots. Hmmm...if say, a "Afro-American" (or whatever PC term is used nowadays) commits a heinous crime, does that make all AA's look like dangerous criminals? To some, yes. That's an interesting argument to make, considering the scrutiny aviation has come under since 9/11. When the non-flying public sees another small plane accident, in this case a high profile crash, it has to color their opinions of GA and maybe question the safety of small aircraft flying over cities. It's this kind of negative attention that we don't need. |

![]() Matt Barrow wrote: "Kingfish" wrote in message ups.com... Not sure that it could. Doing something dumb in a car doesn't have the same potential consequences (normally) as doing something dumb in an airplane. Until you take out a mini-van with six kids in it that crosses your path... That's why I said "normally". We don't have the same margin for error in flying as in most other avocations/pursuits. |

A Drunk driver is better off killing him/herself long before it is ok to kill other innocent people on the road with him. What part of that don't you get?????? The part I don't get is this: I know you're trying to draw a distinction between drunk drivers killing other people and drunk drivers killing themselves, but isn't a death a death? Do you think the families of people who drive drunk and kill themselves mourn their losses any less because "it was his/her own fault"? Marc |
