My income isn't enough to cover my expenses, either.

But you see, I knew you would refuse the challenge because it would
prove that you really don't have a clue and aren't even willing to
put a very little bit of your not very valuable time to prove that
you do in fact have a clue.

I really am not interested in taking tests or accumulating
credentials. I have no use for them.

Well here you go then this is a chance to earn some extra money.

I don't know whether I could pass them or not. I just don't see any
purpose to making the attempt. I'm not interested in the credential.

As I said to earn some money.

OK then, I've offered $100 to the pot why don't you make a call and
see what the test costs there. I'll bet we have a few more on the
group that would add to the pot under the same conditions I proposed.

There's the cost of my time, transportation, lost wages, and so on.

According to you own words $100 is equal to a week of your income so that

How much do you think it costs to take the written test anyway?

I don't know, but unless it's practically free, it would not be cost-
effective to take it.

As I mentioned I'm sure there are others in the groupd that would be will to
add to the pot to cover the cost of th tests.

But you see, I knew you would refuse the challenge because it would prove

This is a surprise? He can't be bothered to look up simple questions in a
search engine, after all...

Having the credential would not earn as much money as it would cost.

Ok then let me put it to you this way. If the test is paid for and the
$100 is in addition to the cost of the test would you do it?

Well then you have proved that you are full of crap. $100 is a weeks
earnings for you that should be more than enough for a couple of hours work.

I wonder whether or not he says the same thing about his

Bertie is, especially when he takes the time to explain
something. Pay attention, you might actually learn
something about flying real airplanes.

(Well, one can hope, can't he?)

I'm rather hoping for a new Ralphie, actually.

Of course, but how often does a Ralphie come along?
Meanwhile, as Rumfeld almost said, if we can't fight the
loon we want, fight the loons we have.

True, so true. Those were the days. Thinking about SnF and just
hoping Imight meet him there. Maybe leave him one of my cards....

It would be a lot more than a couple of hours work.

You seem to believe that I feel compelled to prove something. I don't. I'm
not interested in credentials. Credentials are something you use to impress
other people (or at least people who are impressionable). I'm simply
interested in knowledge, whether it impresses others or not.
