But did you have a slide rule in highschool because calculators
were still $100+?

nay. As a self respecting nerd, I spent all my money into
a programmable one (and I was ****ed when not long afterward,
the HP41 came out -- now any other self respecting nerd out
there with some historical perspective will know how old I
am :-) Slide rules is something I actually did learn to
appreciate later -- or which were required for exams
(anything electronic being banned more often than not);

Such language, I hope you fill big now. I didnt ask for your help. Most of
it didnt sound like it to me. Now go have your mom wash your hands. You do
still live with her right?

Damn, it looks like I must offended his oh-so-delicate sensitivities...
And here I thought I was being polite... Hell, it's not like I said he
had to go **** himself right here and now... I said that he could do it
whenever it might be convenient... Damn, you try to be polite and look
what it gets you... I guess I should reply back with some sort of
insult... Hmmm... How about ...

"You're ugly and your mother dresses you funny"

There! Does that make you feel better now?

Oh, BTW, are you a product of the California school system? Not to
critique you, of course, but I was just curious if the numerous wording
errors in your various messages and the ad are perhaps indicative of
the California educational system in general...

Hmmm... I wonder how many wording errors he can manage in a
Trade-a-Plane ad?

On a side note, is that a male thing, to ask someone if they still live

Nawh, sometimes the question is whether their mother knows that they
jack off while sniffing her soiled panties is her closet... snicker

Correctly written, that would be: You're an idiot, so stick it.

Ahhh, home again. :-)

I think what people are trying to say is that they don't want to buy a
plane from someone who can't formulate a good ad.

I'm not in the market for a new plane, I'm quite satisfied with my current
one... Hell, I was just trying to help the guy so that he could create a
more professional ad... I would hazard to guess that was also the motivation
others in the newsgroup who were commenting on the site... One would think
that he might be interested in getting some pointers from various
individuals who actually make a living doing software and web development...
It's not like we were claiming he was an idiot for not being able to write
HTML by hand and having to resort to FrontPage... One would think that
having purchased FrontPage, he would might be interested in hints so that he
could more effectively use his tool of choice...

Makes them wonder how the maintenance was performed, I guess.

Different people have different abilities... It's possible that someone
could be meticulous on their aircraft maintenance but not competent in the
use of a web layout tool... One might wonder why someone would pay for
FrontPage and not want to learn how to use it effectively though... Oh well,
that's the type of attitude that allows A&Ps to make their boat payments, I
guess...
