I don't think we pilots would do that with paper maps. New sectional
charts come out every 6 months and I always scan a new map and look for "new" things in my "local" area such as new radio towers, airports, control towers, etc. Plus the old ones are great to have...they make nice wallpaper for the den or basement bar...
