Default LS7 control stick diameter and LXNav remote stick

My short arms have me looking at adding an LXNav remote stick in order to control the S80 vario that I have installed in my LS7. It is sold in four sizes, to accommodate 19.3, 20, 24, and 25.4 millimeter diameter sticks.

My measurement of the diameter of my LS7's stick is 17.5 millimeters -- significantly smaller than any of the above. Has anyone put one of these remote sticks on their LS7? Am I measuring wrong, or did you need to add some kind of sleeve to match the diameters of the stick and remote?

Thanks,
Jordan

I ordered 20 mm for my ls8 as this was specified to be the size for LS.
See https://www.gliderpilotshop.com/remo...ck-s80-s8.html
On the bottom of the stick are some small screws with which you tighten the grip to the stick. Works perfectly.

I suppose you could buy golf grip tape and golf grip build up tape for installation. It is easy enough to do. One thing though... once it's on, you'll have to cut it off to remove it.
