It's been ready for quite a while but Apple was picky and it took several attempts to make them happy (you would have been happy much earlier

But now it's ready - SeeYou for iPad and iPhone!
http://www.naviter.com/2013/01/seeyo...ad-and-iphone/

You can find the flights from the World Championships in Uvalde and Gonzales Chaves if you run the app, press Menu Open from SeeYou Cloud Soaring Spot WGC choose your class, day and flight.

As with many developments from Naviter this winter - this is just the beginning!

Enjoy.

Awesome news Andrej. Have you given any thought to providing an Android or
iOS version of connect me? I would love to be able to rid myself of my
laptop that I still use to download my traces.

Andrej,

I've been experimenting with it on my iPad the last 2 hours. Fantastic! Stupendous! Wonderful! Thank you very, very much!

On my iPhone I don't seem to have the maps. I just have a blue background. Any suggestions?

If I zoom out the map is there but when I zoom in the flight area us just a blue background. If I scroll over a few miles outside of the flight area the map is appearing. It is as if it is being over written.

Are you on 3G/4G/LTE (i.e. not on Wifi)?

There's a setting which protects you from downloading lots of data without me asking if you want that.

The Settings on iOS are not inside the app, there's a dedicated "Settings" app (the one with the gear rings). At the bottom you will find SeeYou, then go to Data & Connection Download map tiles change "Wifi only" to "Wifi or Dataplan".

The setting is persistent. Set it once and forget about it.

I see the same behavior on my iPhone 4. When I zoom in so the screen is about 5 miles square, it becomes all blue. Zooming out restores maps on the side, but not in the old zoomed in region. If you slide the blue region off the screen (at the same magnification), the maps appear when you slide it back on. Behavior is the same if you select WiFi or Dataplan in the settings.

I should add that the blue background on zoom-in occurs only on my iPhone 4.. On my iPad II (non-retina display) there is no problem - you can zoom in to the maximum magnification of the maps.

You are correct. It was set to WiFi only.
