Canard static port location
Where do you canard owners locate your static pressure ports?
The SQ2000 has a handy spot for the ram air pitot port at the front. But where would be a good place for static port. The SQ2000 fus. tapers evenly until it reaches the door - where the body is parallel to wind. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Paul Lee ... |

"Paul Lee" wrote in message ... Where do you canard owners locate your static pressure ports? My static port on my Long is just aft of the canard TE in the middle of the fuse on the left side. This makes it real convenient for the instrument panel. However, at that point, my port is perpendicular to the relative wind. Before I reworked the plumbing, my tubing was not connected to the static port. I noticed this because I could gain or lose 50 feet altitude depending on if my air vent was opened or closed.
