A pal of mine has one (bought last month) and another pal has just bought a KTM Superduke and it's amusing to see the fight for keys when we stop. Depending on the roads we're about to ride, we all have a preference for different bikes. Mine (The Zed 1000) beats them both on fast sweepers and on out and out full theash riding, but the Duke is best on REALLY tight twisties. The Trumper takes everything in it's stride and sounds wonderful while it's doing it. If I had an inkling for another bike, it'd be the Triple. Lots of folks over in A.M.S sure seem to like that triple... Didn't see anything at the auction this morning - pretty much a waste of time this time around. Seems every other month is good so next month should have some deals. That deal you mentoned on eBay has a governor in there too. A Throttle Jockey" it's called, but it does the same thing as the Futaba GV-1 which is to keep those engine revs exactly where they should be. I think I'm gonna bid on it later today. Might get lucky. Oh yeah, I've had one or two of them over the years too. Thankfully I'm "out of that" now. I used to be self employed, but I got tired of being a collection agent - why the hell don't people pay their damned bills?? It's a question that would take some answering, but as far as me and my son are concerned, no-one gets anything unless it's cash up front, and (with the bodyshop we now have) no vehicles leave with a penny owing. Insurance co's are the thorn in our side though, and space. When people don't have the cash, WE have to keep their cars and they take up much needed space.(mind you, we charge for the privilege) http://www4.mailordercentral.com/hel...er=101450HYPER Good spec, but no electris included. I reckon if push came to shove, it'd be considered, but the eBay link you sent me seems a beter bet. I'll call that one my "Plan-B" Looks like plan A worked :-)) -- Beav Reply to "beavis dot original at ntlworld dot com" (with the obvious changes) |

Sounds like you could help me in the resto of my 71 Olds.. Slowly collecting body panels to replace the pieces with cancer holes... Gotta practice my sheemetal welding before I dive into that little project tho.. We've done more resto's than you can shake a stick at. 1950's Jaguars were our speciality for a while (XK 120's, 140's and 150's, plus a number of 'E' Types. We recently completed a Corvette Stingray in two-tone silver/grey which turned out very nicely, but more recently we've been involved with Jap high performance cars. The Old's would be a doddle being all steel and pretty good steel at that (well compared to cars these days) End goal? A fake 442 (faux-4-2?) with a twin turboed (or supercharged) Rocket 350 and a modern 6 speed tranny... (man I've expensive hobbies.. heheeh) My son has too. His previous motors include a beautiful Nissan Skyline. 4x4, twin turbo's 700bhp 610ft/lbs of torque (at 4000rpm), but it was only 2 door so not much use now he's got a baby to cart about. He's now got a Mitsubishi Evo 6 running 500 bhp with a 2.5litre stroker kit and variable vane turbo. And nitrous for those "just gotta do it" moments:-) I still prefer bikes:-) -- Beav Reply to "beavis dot original at ntlworld dot com" (with the obvious changes) |

wrote in message oups.com... And this all relates to ag flying How? LOW flying of course :-) And running up and down, up and down, up and down the same area interminably. When those handbrake turns are perfected and a spray bar fitted, YOU'LL be out of work in a heartbeat pal!! :-)) -- Beav Reply to "beavis dot original at ntlworld dot com" (with the obvious changes) |
