Default Gliders at Oshkosh

Dear Aviators,

Know this, GentleFolk:

THERE IS A MOTORGLIDER for homebuilder
complete kit, at Oshkosh AirVenture.

Yes indeed,

displayed and sold and affordable at Oshkosh,

appealing and pitched to the eaa type aircraft homebuilder,
and also aimed at the Soaring Pilot who wants to build
and to soar,

to save big bucks,

and to fly airplane style cross country-pilot and carry
up to one passenger in a
go-fly-an-airplane in engine running xc transport mode

with good airplane speeds xc.

Yes. All that.

There is a COMPLETE KIT
available,

powered by a Jabiru 3.3 Liter Jabiru direct drive AERO
engine, six cylinder aero engine with aerocarb,
with Sensenich prop and spinner there on the nose,

in tractor configuration.

Yes, it is a Tailwheel style side by side two seater
GLIDER,
two stick, monoplane, made of CAD-CAM cut and pre-laser
pilot hole drilled 6061-T6 Aluminum (same stuff as
the Douglas C-47 nd DC-3 is made of).

It shall be HOMEBUILT FROM KIT and have a
Special Airworthiness Certificate,
Experimental-Amateurbuilt.

By building it, you shall gain the credential to do
inspection and repair on the aircraft.

Or at your choice you may hire an A&P mechanic to do
annual condition inspections.

It has all the parts perfectly cut,
much of the structure is
pretty much pre-made,
with every skin hole already pre-drilled so you dont
have to use your time measuring measuring for every
dang blasted hole. yes the holes are already drilled
by laser, and you finish drill, and teh complete kit
includes fine machined spar caps and
has spar webbing and prebent airfoil skins and all
fuselage skins.

What a fine piece of work is the XENOS glider for
quick kit building;

includes motor mount, landing gear and brakes, cowling,
wheel pants, plexi canopy, gastank, canopy frame kit,
etc et al.

Add the engine and instruments when you have completed
the fuselage building.

Building Classes are given at Oshkosh Sonex factory
several times a year.

Next class is scheduled for May 2006, and costs only
$200 which is credited in multiples to you if you order
a Sonex or Waiex or Xenos within reasonable time after
you have attended the factory festivities and building
class and wine and beer and pizza party hosted by Sonex
at their Oshkosh factory.

This class should answer all your questions and wipe
out any curiosity about quality and reliability of
the kits and the company.

The GLIDER aircraft is kit called XENOS.

It is a stable-mate among kits from the John, Betty,
and Jeremy Monnett Sonex-Ltd company, being available
with the Sonex and Waiex airplanes. There you see
them and make your choice.

The Xenos is the GLIDER aircraft; it being a self-launching
glider with fixed pitch small chord prop, with spoilers
on wings and a wider span than the Sonex or Waiex,
it using a Wortman airfoil. Nice gliderplane. It
shall be on display, as it was in 2005, at the Sonex
exhibit of aircraft in the Homebuilder area of the
show.

Jim,
I have been keeping my eye on the Xenos ever since they announced it.
Since then I bought an LS3 and wonder now if I would be satisfied with
the claimed 1-26 performance.
So far no customer Xenos kits have been completed. Have you flown the
factory built Xenos? I am also curious why you have purchased a Sonex
kit instead of the Xenos?
What is your motivation to promote the Xenos?
Looking at the factory site it appears that you have not yet built your
Sonex kit #855.
Slightly confused by your posting,
Randy Cone
