Default STC for power in teh cockpit?

Hello,
Our FLight dept owns a Lear 31a. Currently there is no power to the
cabin (ie **V outlet) I have been quoted exhorbanant pricing to add a
12v cigar lighter (5000+) to the cockpit or cabin. Any ideas on what
I can do as an alternative? (and still remain legal)

Thanks, Tommy

PS, I know Ill need a 28-12v stepdown. But, I will be satisfied with
a 24-28v outlet

Well, there's the old trick of soldering wires/a socket onto the inside
of a broken bulb.

Wait, you meant legal?

Consider one of those $25 jumper batteries at Costco. Comes with a wall
charger, will give you 12v for hours, completely independent of the plane
systems.

Use what the airlines do?

(I've been planning to put some in my plane for years. I'm not sure
where to get them now.)
