Pretty sure the Rotodyne was much later. 60s? The only thing I've seen
close to the aircraft in the cartoon is the Moller, and it hasn't done so
well.

But think of all the animation costs that they avoided (they filmed real
mouths and superimposed them on the cartoon character to reduce drawing
time)

Ever notice that the old Hanna Barbara cartoons ALWAYS had a chase scene -
again, a cost measure - the background and chracter drawings were just used
over and over...

That was one of the reasons I always hated H B cartoons.

The other reason was that they weren't funny.
