Default WTB: Tailwheel Cavity for Glider Trailer

Anybody got a junk trailer with a fiberglass Tailwheel cavity/recess/
holder they'd be willing to part with?

Thanks in advance

Bryce

I almost clicked checkout on one of these.....and then I realized how
comical this shiny and perfectly engineered Cobra part would look
against the backdrop of my glider and trailer. It would be like
putting a Ferrari seat in a dump truck.

All joking aside thanks for the input.....just seemed a little
overkill.

Ok, how about this:

1) Cut hole in trailer under tailwheel
2) Cover rear fuslage and tail wheel area in plastic food wrap
3) Lay several layers of fiberglass cloth & resin over the hole in
trailer
4) Lower plastic covered tailwheel onto the wet cloth letting it push
down in the hole.
5) Block the tail up at the correct height.
6) Let the glass cure, trim, paint and attach with pop rivets.

The result should be worthy of any dump truck.

Or make a plug the shape of the cavity out of wood. sand smooth and
fasten to smooth surface. Wax the heck out of it.
Lay up glass and resin. Trim when cured. If you use epoxy you can just
make the plug out of pink insulating foam and melt it out of the part
when done.
It should look home made enough to match your trailer.

One of the Zuni medicine men had a spare one out of an old trailer so
it looks like I'm in good shape.....now its more like a vintage
Ferrari tail light on a dump truck. This trailer is so ugly it looks
like a spanish freight airplane I used to fly.......

Thanks for the input guys......and thanks to Bob W. for the part.
