I just got my copy. The images are wonderful. It looks fine on the computer.
However, it will not play in color on my DVD player. The problem lies with
how the DVD is replicated. If it is a DVD-R even if it is multiregion it will
not play well on NTSC DVD players (at least not on mine.) In order to avoid
this problem it has to be stamped from a glass master and replicated as DVD-5.
One more example of how the electronics industry has made our lives
difficult...

hehe... nope... that is not the problem.

The problem will be that your player can not playback PAL DVDs.
PAL and NTSC use different methods to "encode" the color.

If the DVD is played in BW the DVD player can read it and the format of
the DVD itself is all right.

Try to set your DVD Player to PAL (your TV has to support PAL, too).

Hi Juan,

The DVD was replicated from a glass master to DVD5,
not DVD-R. The disc was not regioned, so in theory
should work worldwide.

We tested it on a multi region DVD player and also
set the DVD player to NTSC mode before release and
it worked perfectly. Obviously though, testing on one
DVD player does not mean it will work on all NTSC players,
which is why it is labeled as a PAL version.

I hope this helps regarding the replication technique.

Best Regards,

Shaun

Hi Shaun,

Tried it on a new DVD player and it read "Playback prohibited x area
limitations". Is it encoded as Region 0 (multiregion)?

Just got mine too (USA) and it plays well and although it doesn't beat the
first one it is simply awesome!!! The wackos here in the Arizona heat have
been considering trying for a desert version but you guys have set a very
tough standard. I can honestly say that you would fit right in to the Agua
Fria River Racers should any of you ever decide to come to the southwest
US.....we're your kinda folks! Hopefully you're already working on the
third release. Any chance of getting a high res version of the first one?

Keep it up and keep 'em comin' and we'll tip one for the Junior British team
and pilots!!!
