Mark it on your calendar: We're just two weeks away from Iowa City's
annual "Big Kids Toy Show" -- our airport's big 2-day, fly-in breakfast
extravaganza!

We will be serving pancakes and pork sausage (fresh -- these sausages
are still pigs, as I'm typing this! :-) breakfast BOTH mornings, from
7 AM till noon. And there will be "Big Kids Toys" everywhere, from
Vipers to Citation Jets, from 1929 Travel Air biplanes to new Harleys.

Want to see the biggest SUV on the planet, the CXT? (It's based on a
semi-tractor truck!) We'll have it. Interested in the new G1000
glass-panel 182? It'll be there! Think P-51 Mustangs are kewl?
We've got one. And Stearmans, and T-28s... The list goes on and on...

BEST OF ALL: All proceeds from this show go toward the construction of
an aviation exhibit at The Iowa Children's Museum -- Iowa's biggest
kid's museum! If you are concerned about the future of GA in America
-- and I know you are -- please join me by "putting your money where
your mouth is" and plan on attending this wonderful event.

See www.BigKidsToyShow.com for more details, or ask here!

Jay, why did you schedule this on the same weekend as the PJY fly-in?

Not my choice!

Some day I'll make it over there. In the meantime, it's only a 45
minute hop for you guys. C'mon over for some pancakes on one of the
two mornings!

Which reminds me...

Jay, the NPR/PRI radio show "What Do You Know?" will be in Iowa City
in June. If you're a fan, you will want to get tickets ASAP (free, IIRC).

And Morris: did you get the map and missive about flying in Colorado?

They use the traveling shows as fund raisers for local public radio
stations. Tickets are usually in the $30+ range and sell out quickly.

I know -- isn't it cool? We are big fans of Michael Feldman, and his
show.

Unfortunately, we've got something else going on the day he's in
town...
