Default US SSA Rules Committee News

Newly posted on the SSA website are the proposed Contest Rules changes for
2007 and the minutes of the November 2006 SSA Rules Committee meeting.

The proposed Contest Rules changes are subject to approval by the SSA Board
of Directors in Feb 2007. As always, constructive comments are welcome.

The documents are on the SSA website at Sailplane Racing Rules & Process
2007 Rules Process Documents.

There is a proposed change in the scoring formulas intended to bring the US
scoring closer to IGC scoring. A discussion of the proposed change is
included at Sailplane Racing Rules & Process Other Documents as "2007
Support document regarding a proposed change in scoring".

Ron,

I just noticed the SSA only has the rules in PDF format. You should be able
to access them if you have Adobe Acrobat Reader
(http://www.adobe.com/prodindex/acrobat/readstep.html) installed on your
computer.

Hi Ron,

I was able to download and print the proposed rule changes. I don't think
the new rules are available yet.
