Nippondenso Alternator Wiring

Default Nippondenso Alternator Wiring

I have a 35 A. ND alternator. There is a stud marked "B" for the battery and a
three wire plug marked "E", "F",and "N". The "F" wire I am sure is the field
but how are the other two wires used in the original automotive application?
