Default SeeYou time offset

I just downloaded version 4.31 (Sept 5, 2012 build). It defaults to a
-17 hour UTC offset, and the time setting adjustment
(Tools/Options/General/UTC Offset) does not work. Anyone else having
this problem?

Maybe it's the wrong value set in your logger? It gets stored in the IGC
file.

To correct UTC offset for an open file, you should change it in flight
properties dialog.

The time in the file is correct.

Thanks, the setting in Flight Properties fixes the problem. But then
what is the purpose of the non-working setting in
Tools/Options/General/UTC Offset?

It should work if there no other setting in the file. Could you check
with a another fresh original file?

I opened an OLC file, then SeeYou said he it wanted to update the
software to the latest version. After that the problem occurred.
Everything seems to be working fine now. Maybe the software update
caused the problem.

I still don't understand, however, why SeeYou has two different places
where you can change the UTC offset. A change in one place appears to
have no effect upon the other, so you can end up with two different UTC
offsets?

"Flight properties" affects only the file you have opened - and it shall
be stored in that file if you click save button.

Tools/Options sets the default UTC offset to be used if there is none in
an opened file.
