A name like that says to me "Don't eat the chili".

Medication did wonders for me, Dave. Perhaps it could for you, if a
crowbar and half a pound of axle grease counts as medication.

Wow, and I though *I* had a twisted sense of humor...

After all, I'm the guy who came up with plans for aviation theme suites
like:

-The Hindenburg Suite
-The Lockerbie Suite
-The Experimental Suite
-The Bong Suite

...and dozens more just like them, only to be shot down by Mary....

Do those that use the Bong suite generally know it was named for a fighter
ace and not a device?

Question is...does Jay know? :~)

There is a place here in California (down by Bakersfield) called Nellie's
Nipple. It is currently in BLM conservation. I'd LOVE to establish an airport
there.

(Not to be confused with the mountain in Arizona of the same name.)

Good ol' Richard Ira? And his wife, Marge? From Superior, WI?

And his fellow P-38 pilot, good buddy (and rival) Tommy Maguire?

Nah, I don't know nuthin' about that Bong fella...

Socialists love their heros...

You mean like JFK, LaGuardia, or Reagan?

Brian.

No ... leaders of the most free republic in history are not the same as
martyrs of the socialist movement... Have another Molsen eh?

If you'd like to read a good book about the P-38 Lightning, with many good
tales of McGuire and Bong, read "Fork-Tailed Devil" by Martin Caidin.

Personally, I think of it as the definitive book on the P-38.

Read it in hardcover many, many years ago. Also see:

I was wondering if the "Bong Suite" had a portrait of Tommy Chong in the room??
