Google Earth - Soaring Sites

Has anyone a list of US airfields with Glider operation ?

has all of the ones that have turnpoint lists available as part of the
Turnpoint Exchange

If there is interest in having all of the glider ports, it would be
easy enough to put together.

I believe the SSA site only shows clubs and commerical operations that
are SSA Chapters. That leaves out some good clubs and perhasp some good
commerical operations.

Certainly leaves out some commercial towing operations -- among others,
those at Bishop, Crazy Creek (assuming it is still operating), and
Montague in California; Ely in Nevada; and Parowan in Utah.

The attitude at the SSA seems to be that their members (and non-members)
only deserve to know about soaring locations that are willing to pay
some $$ to the SSA.

Why do these soaring locations think SSA members (and non-members) won't
be interested in knowing about their operations? Or is it really
expensive to get a listing?
