Default OT : Blue Thunder TV Series...

As part of my on going hobby, I was wondering if anyone had the
original TV Series recorded anywhere on VHS for my archiving project -
especially in light of the fact that Columbia House will NOT be
publishing a DVD set...

Contact me at virtual_bob at hotmail dot com!

TIA

Bob

Blue Thunder and AirWolf Were both based on a real aircraft if my memory
serves built by Lockheed in the 60's or 70's it was a 2 seater short winged
battle chopper.
The AH-56 Cheyenne it was a compound helicopter designed for the U.S. Army
55ft long 27ft across the wings with a 50ft diameter main rotor and to cap
it of it had 2 tail rotors.
One conventional anti-torque rotor and one pusher propeller.
The engine was a 3,435 shp General Electric T64-GE-16turboshaft.
if it had been perfected it would have been able to take on planes i.e. it's
top speed was supposed to have been 253 miles per hour.

I know I was talking about the concept of a super chopper capable of high
speeds and carrying a large weapons load and spying gear,
I.e a gattling gun air to air missiles and air to ground missiles plus
cameras and e.c.m for self defence The apache is not as capable today.
I happen to have 2 model kits one of Blue Thunder and one of AirWolf
(which could be made as ether a AirWolf or Bell 222 ).
