Default Dittel FSG50 squelch

I am seeking the ability to adjust the squelch on our club's G102. I have info on the location of the pot for a FSG71m/70, but not the FSG50/60. Recently it is breaking squelch full time. I have searched for stray RF, and not found any. Of course, it could be a more serious problem, but the radio is not worth the cost to send to Penninsula for a checkup. If adjustment doesn't do it, it gets replaced.

I don't have a schematic, and I don't have a VHF signal generator. Just want to tweak it by ear.

So a diagram showing the location of the pot would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hartley,

if it turns out that the magic smoke has left the radio and you can't put it back in, check he
https://www.segelflug.de/osclass/ind...=item&id=34122
This guy has 2 of them for sale. They can't be too expensive since they are virtually worthless over there.
Just pointing out an option....

Knowing how much to turn the pot is the issue, I had a close friend, who is a electrical engineer for Cobham helicopter radio guys, use a a set from work to adjust the squelch to the proper design specs. But guessing and trying works too if it is an easy install/removal from the glider or a bench test is possible. I also bought one from europe so now have a spare.

This worked well for FSG71M and the FSG50
About 25 degrees counterclockwise did it for us.

I have an oscilloscope, but no VHF signal generator. I don't know precisely how much attenuation I did, but it seems to work.
