Default A-4 gun camera question

Okay, if any of you guys date back as far as the A-4B/C, or
maybe the E/F in the Vietnam era, can you tell me what if
any arrangements were made for a gun camera? I assume there
must have been one (I believe they added a strike camera
later, looking to the rear), but I was wondering what if any
camera was available looking forward. Assuming there was
such a camera, did it only work when the trigger was
depressed, or did it also operate when the pickle button was
pressed? If the latter was possible, did it continue to run
as long as the pickle button was held down, was there a set
number of frames that it ran on, did it just take a single
shot, or could the number of frames run-on after the pickle
was pushed be set?

TIA,

Guy
