Default 2019 GTA summary

We had great participation this year, especially from B class, the best B class in years. So for the first time in a long time we will award 3 B class trophies, in addition to the 3 A class.

2019 Season Scores are he

And not to be forgotten, the 7th GTA trophy goes to a new category:
New for 2019 we will award a GTA OLC Speed Trophy to the registered GTA pilot that posts the best Region 5 OLC Speed Championship sum for the season. The OLC Speed championship puts more emphasis on speed than just the distance score of the classic OLC, so it fits more as racing. The emphasis is on your fastest flight segment up to 150 minutes see Speed OLC Rules. Our idea is to experiment by encouraging pilots to fly faster cross country. Pilots must submit their own OLC flight claims. While not required, it is easier to track the competition if everyone joins the “Club GTA” on OLC.
Winner with 568.73 OLC speed points is John Mittell, congrats.
Please let us know if you think we should award 3 trophies for Speed OLC in 2020, and or add a B class.

Chris

Hi Chris
Could’nt make it to warm springs, work flying doing fire patrol. Yes you should do a B class speed award yearly. I recommend a trophy or plaque representing a turtle beating a hare lol.
