Default How are MOST major airline pilots paid?

Is it block-to-block or in-flight hours? If u know of major airline
exceptions, please list.
Thanks for straightening out a major debate on this issue.

All that I know of, "block-to-block" because that is "almost"
the FAA definition of "flight time".

FAR Part 1
Flight time means:
(1) Pilot time that commences when an aircraft moves under its own power
for the purpose of flight and ends when the aircraft comes to rest after
landing

In coin of the realm

Usually salary with flight hours an additional. Depends on the airline
though.
Southwest is quite different, for instance.

Block time. Greater of scheduled or actual. There is also
International overides, per deim, training, and at some airlines an
overide for back side of the clock (All nighters). Hope this helps
