Default Jantar VNE

Hi,

Does anyone know whats up with the Jantar Std 2 VNE?
I fly one in the UK and VNE is 137Kts or 255kph (http://www.glidin
g.co.uk/bgainfo/technical/datasheets/jantarstd2.pdf),
but as mentioned below and on other international
gliding club websites, many quote 154kts!? hmmmm....

Storey.

I think VNE for this glider is actually much faster
than that. 154 kts.

Nick.

Exactly :
According to the Manual of the Jantar Standard 2 (SZD-48-1) :
VNE = 285Km/h (154Kt), same VNE with breaks extended.
The highest VNE of any glider I've flown or seen.

Looks like your club decided to put an extra safety factor for some reason.
