Default Annual RAH flyin at Pinckneyville

It is time once again to make plans for the Pinckneyville Flyin.

When: May 20, 21, and 22, 2005

Whe PJY, Pinckneyville Airport, Pinckneyville, Illinois. It is about 80
miles southeast of St. Louis on the St. Louis sectional chart. 4000 foot
lighted north/south runway paved with a short parallel grass strip on the
west side of the pavement north of the taxiway to the ramp.

Who: Anyone interested in aviation. Fly in, Drive in, come by bicycle,
walk. It doesn't matter. Just come on by.

Cost: We ask for $20 to cover the cost of the groceries for the three day
event. $10 is good if you are only going to make it for one day. This
covers food available as well as beverages, hot and cold.

Accomodations: Camping on the field is free. There are two bathrooms
available but no showers.
If you prefer a motel the local motel is the Mainstreet Inn, in downtown
Pinckneyville. Call 618-357-2128. Clean, comfortable, and reasonably
priced.
There is also a B&B, The Oxbow Bed and Breakfast. Call 618-357-9839.
Slightly more expensive, but nice.
Transportation is generally available between the airport and the motel and
B&B.

Generally buddy flying all day and hangar flying all night. Meet the people
you only know from the Internet. It is a great party.

Registration: Send an email to Mary at and let her know
what days you will be attending so that she can plan the groceries. We have
to order the steaks soon! :-)

Tell the whole story, John - you're really a drive-in veteran, aren't you?

Now Rich! At least he keeps coming back for more. I will admit that you
have flown down in some "interesting" weather a time or two! :-)

I hear he'd had so many bottles of "Arrogant *******" ale by the time he
landed that the gate agents refer to him as the "Spirits of St. Louis". . .
