Far from considering myself an authority, I should think that a CofA is delivered by the national authority concerned - Canadian in this case - upon request by "whom it may interest" plus payment of their fees. If it has not been done by the plane builder or their local agent (if any) your only option would be to go for it yourself - which might prove expensive. Perhaps you could consider flying it on a foreign registration, probably its current? That is common practice in certain European countries, especially for IFR-certified planes. As for the forwarder: I don't know any, but you might get useful answers if you tell us from where to where the plane should go, more or less. Chicago to Toronto is much different from Cape Town to Vancouver, you know. |

Thank you for your feedback. I should check with the broker, but could be obtained further shipment in an European country or should be obtain before? If not is there any other paper that could come together with the aircraft? have you any ideea regarding the existence of a Conformity Certificate? Thank you, |

Shipment is to physically move the plane from one place to another - no aviation authorities involved there, only customs. Plus the fee for transport and some nasty details like packaging, loading, securing, insurance, and more entertainment. If not is there any other paper that could come together with the aircraft? Again, unclear question, really sorry! Lots of paper can come, easily, reams and reams and even some rolls. But what should be accomplished? have you any ideea regarding the existence of a Conformity Certificate? No. Again, what exactly are you wanting to accomplish? I gather you are considering acquisition of a DA-40 somewhere, in Europe presumably, then exporting it from wherever it might be now then transporting it to Canada then import it into Canada then get it registered with the Canada civil aviation authority, right? And what exactly is your problem with precisely which of these stages? |
