Default First flight in type article?

I recall an article specifically written on flying
a new glider type, I thought it was on the old soaring
server site, but could not find it. Anyone out there
who can steer me to it? Thanks.

It might have been in one of Tom Knauff's books, and
I googled and found a piece done in Omarama on conversion
into a Mosquito, so disregard previous post
