Strictly speaking, the change of wiring is a change to the type
certificate. You could deem it a minor modification and do it with a log book entry. You would be ok unless somewhere down the line someone wanted to debate the point. Then the $115 would look pretty cheap. Bill Hale |

You could barely buy the wire and terminals for that much. #2 aircraft cable is expensive and you need a lot of it for a PA28 with a rear mounted battery. |
