Noticed while revisiting Pez D. Spencer's "DOON" (Episode: The $20 Ride) The ride pilot says about making it back to Williams:
"I'm a cartoon, not Gary Kemp".

That cartoon I mention in my book and it refers to the race we had from El Mirage to Estrella. My wife declined the adventure and I flew there and two days later flew back.

I laughed, I cried,I lost 15 lbs, I quit smoking...OK, Im not a literary critic but your book will bring a smile to anyone who cut their teeth flying 1-26s and 2-33s (Not to mention having the spouse crew at contests). Would love to read more from other veterans of the sport.

I just read the Garfield Flats episode to Pat, we both had several good chuckles. I had forgotten the "other" things a task sheet is good for. Pat remembers being very nervous about following a stranger out into the desert at night. Search "bombing range" on kindle or about 28% into the book. Thanks for putting all these old stories down for all to enjoy.
