Default Hughes 369D/500D

How do you tell the difference between Hughes 369D and 500D from the
outside?

Does any one know if that Hughes (TC's) helicopter appeared in Magnum P.I.'s
TV shows a 369D or a 500D?

There's no difference. 369 was the manufacturer's model series and on the
type certificate. "500" was the marketing name.

I believe the original 500 was a C model and had 4 main rotor blades and
a C18 Allison engine. The D model has 5 blades and a C20 Allison. They
are both type 369 helicopters. I believe Magnum used a D model.

Does the C model have the V shape tail rather than the T shape tail?
